The issue relates to use of the OPENWORLD mark which is used by
us for our events that focus on Oracle and related
technologies. Use of the identical mark by Miracle for an
event that relates to Oracle technologies is likely to cause
confusion as to whether Oracle is
behind the event or endorses the event. It also dilutes the
value of our OPENWORLD mark.
Oracle's third party trademark guidelines are here http://www.oracle.com/html/3party.html Simply put, Miracle should not use our marks in the names of their offerings.
With regards to other uses of OPENWORLD by third parties, our use of the term in connection with events that pertain to software and related services doesn't mean that others can't use the term for completely unrelated offerings
